Grace Lachlan has spent her life studying infectious disease, believing compassion and science can cure a multitude of ailments. This project is currently living in my head as I finish the Outbreak of Concordia duology. This project will be loosely based of the Book of Ester. While I don't know much about it yet, I do know it will feature a female engineer and dragons. It will either be a duology or trilogy.

Think how to train your dragons but in the red rocks of Sedona and Arches National Park.

I have no idea what this project will be called but it was inspired by an article written on a Ukranian mailman delivering male in the middle of a war zone. Around the same time, I visited the Booth Western Museum in Cartersville georgia with my family and fell in love with western art. This book will be some combination of pony express style mail runners, a magical world, civil war, and a botanist trying to figure out some poisoned plants - all with a great plains setting.
